DU students demand online open book examination

Delhi University (DU) students are seeking final year examinations to be conducted in online mode. The students demonstrated on Monday demanding the conduct of the examination online. The university administration has announced to conduct the 6th-semester examination in offline mode.

After almost two years, the university is conducting the offline exams and these exams are going to be held in May and June.

Nearly 1000 DU students belonging to different organizations protested outside the Faculty of Arts located on the Delhi University campus on Monday. The students claimed that they were detained by the police for protesting on the campus.

However, the police said that the students were creating problems for the commuters by disrupting the traffic. A senior police officer said some of the students have been sent to the police station where they will be released soon.

As per the DU students who are protesting against the offline exam 60%-70% syllabus was completed in online mode. Now the university is asking them to give an offline exam which is not right.

AISA Delhi University tweeted that, many students assembled in Arts Faculty have been imprisoned by Delhi Police! Gather in large numbers at the Delhi University’s Faculty of Arts! Dismiss this model of police brutality on students! Need OBE for all!

Let us tell you that Delhi University is going to perform the examination in a physical mode after almost 2 years which is likely to be conducted in May and June.
