A DU student tried cutting her veins in Malviya Nagar’s attempts to suicide on Saturday. The second-year student of Aurobindo College said her college seniors harassed her.

She had not made any objections to the police. The college girl resides in a paying guest facility in the Khirki Extension area of Delhi.

According to police, at 6 pm they got a PCR call. It’s regarding the entry of a girl to a hospital in Malviya Nagar. She self-inflicted damage to her hand. A police team proceeded and talked to her. The girl told us that due to harassment by her college seniors, she imposed wounds on herself with a pointed object a police source said.

An officer said the girl had sliced her wrist at her housing and her roommate carried her to the hospital. The doctors examined her and told police officers that there were two self-inflicted damages on her left forearm. On further investigation, the girl did not give any information. She told us that she would give her opinion after discussing it with her caretakers. Consequently, the PCR call kept delayed the police source said.

After recording her remark, additional legal action takes place, DPC (south) Chandan Chowdhary said. The DU student tried cutting but had not made any objections to the police. The college girl resides in a paying guest facility in the Khirki Extension area of Delhi.

Vipin Kumar, the principal of Aurobindo College, said: The college tried to get the information of what exactly occurred. Having said that, our college has counselors, and students have urged us to approach them. We had not received any complaints from any students.
