DU special cut-off list was released a few days back. Delhi University releases a special cut-off list for the students who could not take admission in the previous cut-off lists due to some reasons. So, through the special cut-off list, those students can apply to Delhi University in the colleges where seats are available.
Balram Pani is the Dean of DU Colleges. He said that sometimes students expect that they will get admission in the successive cut-off lists but could not for some reason. If any student plans to opt for a specific course but couldn’t get admission into that course, so he waits for successive lists.

So, DU special cut-off list grants them another chance to get admission. Students will get admission in the same course but in any other college in which seats are available. DU special cut-off is like a second chance to the students that they get to enter Delhi University.
SEATS ARE VACANT IN THE OFF-CAMPUS
The dean further said that students generally prefer the north and south campuses to get admission. Because of this, off-campus seats are vacant in the successive cut-off list.
DU COLLEGES FUNDED BY DELHI GOVERNMENT ARE FACING A BUDGET SHORTAGE
Many times, students due to some genuine cases could not complete the admission process even if they are eligible. Moreover, students who already took admission cannot migrate in special cut-off list. So, students would have a good preference of getting seats in the special cut-off list.
