According to U S Pandey, a phased reopening is what SOL is opting for. Thus, at first, only BA Program and BCom students will come. Thus, later it will be followed by the rest of the courses from 6th March 2022. Also, the classes for 1st-year students will continue in an online mode like before. Hence, this is because only a few days are left before their exams that are in March.
On Friday, 18th February 2022, a lot of DU SOL students protested against the decision of the administration. Hence, they said that there has been no clarity from SOL’s side on reopening. Also, the KYS had stated that they don’t even have enough study material. Without classes and study material, they would fail in masses.
Principal U S Pandey has reassured these students they are printing study material and it will all be delivered soon. Also, there was a delay in receiving the 6th-semester syllabus but they are working on it now. The SOL principal even assured students that all soft copies will be uploaded on their website. Hence, he called all the allegations by KYS students baseless. As for the protests, he states that the protesters misbehaved with the guards and women there.
