DU SOL Exams: On Saturday University of Delhi’s School of Open Learning cancelled the first-year BA and B.Com exams. At the time of the cancellation announcement, students were writing the paper. Also, the exam scheduled on 5 March, Sunday was cancelled.
Other examination dates have not changed as per the university notice. The officials said that rescheduled dates will be announced soon. Besides, the examination for DU SOL started on Saturday. But now, it has been cancelled.
Why are DU SOL Exams cancelled?
The exams are decided to be conducted in two shifts- morning and evening. As per the senior university official, there was an error in conducting the exams. The exams for all students were assigned in the morning shift, that’s why the exams got cancelled.

Further, a first-year BA student, Sangeeta, said that she reached the examination centre on time and they were writing the paper. However, students were ordered to stop writing the paper and it got cancelled.
She said, “I reached my examination centre which was Miranda House on time and sat for the exam. The question paper was distributed and we filled in the details. After a few minutes, the invigilator told me that the exam had been cancelled.’
Furthermore, she told that students saw the notice on the main gate of the examination centre. The SOL Examination Branch gave the information that papers for both shifts have been cancelled and the next dates will be announced later.
Registrar Vikas Gupta said that the students will get the new roll numbers. It was an error by the SOL examination branch. He said, “We will inform the next date for the examination of both programs. However, other examination dates will remain the same.”
