DU reopening can happen soon:

As per senior officials, the varsity agreed to the resumption of offline classes in a few days. The Delhi Disaster Management Association (DDMA), responsible for all covid-19 related decisions, agreed to reopen all educational institutions in the capital.

As for DU reopening, the orders suggest that the colleges and students have to encourage other students so that they come and attend offline lectures. Hence, slowly the system of online classes will be stopped.

Statement of the VC on DU reopening:

The VC, Yogesh Singh assured that the varsity will soon reopen with a formulated strategy. Also, he added that if DDMA allows 100 percent seating capacity, reopening campuses will be definite. However, a period of time, say 10 days will be given to the students for returning to campus. This is because the majority of the Delhi University students are from different states.

In the phased DU reopening, arrangements for reopening hostels will also have to be made. Considering that many students are not from Delhi, they will have a crisis when they come back to the campus. So, hostel reopening is an essential part of the phased DU reopening. Also, separate Statements of Purpose (SOPs) will be prepared to accommodate students along with adhering the all covid-19 protocols. Any further detail regarding Delhi University reopening will be known in the coming few days.
