DU students
The DU Administration has recently sent a notice about the DU reopening of campuses in a phased manner. After the pandemic layoffs, the University is keen to open its campuses for the students. And, DU wants that at least the students are partially vaccinated with the 1st dose of the vaccine. Whereas, the students with the hostel as a residence must be fully vaccinated with both doses. Teachers are also advised to get vaccinated with both doses at their earliest.
 
The university in the notice has stated that the campuses will reopen from 15 September. The offline campuses will start for the Undergraduate Final year students. Along with students enrolled in Postgraduate courses. But, for the time being, it would open only for the practical and laboratories classes.

 DU REOPENING 

The order’s issued on Monday, DU registrar Vikas Gupta said about the guidelines. “Both the teaching and the non-teaching staff of department/ colleges/center’s advised to receive both the doses at the earliest. It is further advised that the students entering the colleges/ departments/centers must have at least 1 vaccine dose”.
And, the hostel residents must get vaccinated before entering the hostels. But, if not both at least the 1st dose of covid vaccine must be ensured for the hostel residents.

 DU REOPENING AND ITS GUIDELINES 

The libraries also reopened for the students on Monday. Following the Covid SOP’s, and it’s ensured that libraries allow issuing of books to students regularly, he added. However, meanwhile, the theory classes will continue in physical mode. Whereas, the practical classes will begin with a maximum of 50% students limit.
Only some of the most important practicals must be conducted that are very essential for this semester. And, it remains a choice for the students to either continue in physical or Online mode. Since the physical entry remains voluntary, the attendance for students will not be compulsory, said Vikas.
 
The final year students can come for academic consultations. And placements purposes as decided by the head of institutions. But it must be ensured that not more than 50% of the sitting capacity of the room’s filled.

And in case if the morning and evening colleges share the same premises. The head of both the institutions must consult each other for the same.
