Delhi University on Wednesday I.e., 5 August in a notification said that the University is going to conduct the Open Book Examination (OBE) remotely for the final semester/term/year students of all Undergraduate and Post Graduate programs (including SOL and NCWEB) as a one-time measure to facilitate the students to take their career forward in the prevailing situation of COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously the University issued a notification on 15.07.2020 covering the detailed steps and guidelines for the DU OBE in compliance with the order of the Delhi High Court dated 14.07.2020.

Further, in compliance with the Delhi HC, the notification stated the points for the final year students regarding the DU OBE. The Open Book Exams are going to be conducted from August 10 for all the final year/semester/term students of both UG and PG programs. The University has further proclaimed the OBE as a one-time measure in view of the prevailing coronavirus situation. The following points were illustrated in the notification dated 5 August:

Link to DU OBE Question Papers will be sent via Emails

All the regular, NCWEB, and SOL students who are to appear for the Open Book Exams will receive the downloading links for the question paper at their registered emails. All students will receive the links to their respective subjects as per the date sheets notified on the website.

Alternative Facility to send answer sheets via Emails

The students who fail to upload their scanned images of answer sheets on the online portal have been given the alternative facility to send their scripts via emails. The students are required to send the answer scripts to the email address of their respective college/department/ faculty/center.

DU OBE Answer Scripts to be emailed in PDF format

The students who seek to follow the alternative method for submitting their answer scripts are required to send the scanned images of their answer scripts in PDF format through email at obescript@exam.du.ac.in.

Second Phase of Examination 

Students who either fail to submit the scanned answer scripts after competition of the examination or could not appear in the first phase if OBE shall be given an opportunity to appear in the second phase of the examination. The first phase of DU OBE is going to be conducted from 10th August to 31st August.
