DU registrations 2021 for the undergraduate admissions were supposed to begin from July 15 as per the notice. However, they are delayed and will now begin in late July. This statement was officially made on Monday, 5th July 2021. Also, the prime reason for this postponement is the delay made by CBSE in declaring class 12th Boards results. So, students are yet to wait for their mark sheets.

The chairperson of admissions explains the delay in DU registrations 2021:

Rajeev Gupta, the chairperson of DU admissions stated that the undergraduate registrations will likely open in the third or fourth week of July. He further explained the reason by stating that the CBSE, ICSE, and other boards have not declared results. Also, the Supreme Court of India has given these boards a deadline of 31st July 2021 to declare the Board results.

Thus, Delhi University will only begin admissions a few days prior to the announcement of results. Mr. Gupta explains that it is easy to start the registrations a few days before the results as it gives ample time to the students to fill in the basic details. Thus, they can update their registration forms later and can also add the result details once declared.
