DU promotes Intermediate students: Delhi University will now have only the final semester/year exams for undergraduate, postgraduate courses, the rest of the year students (intermediate semester) will not need to give exams. This decision has been taken because of the deteriorating conditions of COVID-19. Also, DU has postponed the final year exams. Now the exam will start on 7th June instead of 1st June.
DU promotes Intermediate students i.e. first year and second-year students will be promoted based on assignment-based evaluation (ABE). Delhi University took this decision at a working group meeting on Wednesday. Its notification will be released soon.

Because of COVID, students in the intermediate semester of the Regular, School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) will no longer have to take the annual exam. DU’s Dean Examination Pro DS Rawat mentioned that it has been decided that the final year exams will now start from June 7. This will be an online open-book examination.
Moreover, it has been agreed that intermediate semester examinations will not take place. The marks for these students will be based on the Evaluation Based Evaluation (ABE) same as last year, under which the results will be prepared and they will be promoted to the next class. This decision is for regular, SOL, and NCWEB students. Its notification will be released on Thursday. The modified datesheet will also be published soon.

Promotions of the first and second year same as last year:
Only the final year online examinations were conducted because of COVID. For the intermediate semester/year also, the assessment is based on the assignment. The Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) and many student groups have also written to DU’s examination branch, pursuing to cancel the exam. Prof Rawat, Dean Examination mentioned that the final year cancellation of the exam can not be reckoned for now.
