Two former professors of Delhi University hung to death on Wednesday. The DU professors, Ranjit Kumar and Usha Jain stayed in an apartment in the Govind Puri area. Ranjit Kumar was of 74 years of age and his wife Usha Jain, also a DU professor was of 69 years of age.
Ajit was the caretaker of the couple’s house. When he rang the bell while reaching their home, he got no response. So, he called the daughter of DU professor Ankita and she arrived immediately to see her parents. The cops were called upon the incident and Ajit called Ankita after the cops arrived.

Ajit and Ankita broke the gate after receiving no response from the couple. When they opened the door, they found the couple hanging from a steel pipe.
DU PROFESSORS WERE FRUSTRATED FROM THEIR BEDRIDDEN LIVES
Although they committed suicide together, but wrote separate suicide notes. In the notes, they wrote that they were fed up with their bed-ridden lives. DU professors met with an accident in the past due to which they got multiple fractures. The couple frustrated with their lives took this extreme step.
AISA MEMBERS STARTS A HUNGER STRIKE FOR DU REOPENING:
Police handed the bodies to the family and ended the case by saying that they did not find anything suspicious in the noted and suicide case.
