Delhi University Proctor, Rajni Abbi has objected to the visit of Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi and former MP. On Friday, Rahul Gandhi visited the North Campus men’s hostel to interact with students at lunchtime. Due to such a visit, the DU proctor called it ‘unauthorised’.

Further, she said, “Our main concern is the unauthorised visit of Rahul Gandhi at Delhi University. This is not a public place that you can reach at any time while roaming. You reach the hostel at lunchtime, where food is prepared for only 75 people. But you come with a mob and many students complain of not getting food.”

She emphasised and said, “This is totally not right to push the students into trouble. As a result, students wrote a complaint that they didn’t get food due to a visit.”

Rahul Gandhi Breached Security

He didn’t take permission from anyone before visiting the DU campus hostel. The proctor questions, “You have Z security, if accidentally anything happens who would be responsible? At least you should tell the Proctor’s office prior.”

Besides, during the visit, the congress leader interacted with students and also shared a meal with them. He talked about employment issues and discussed career goals. Earlier, he met with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSB) aspirants in Mukherjee Nagar.
