The principals said that portal crashes and heavy traffic on the admission portal of Delhi University results in the delay in the document verification process. This year the admission process was completely online due to the COVID-19 epidemic. However, the varsity suffered heavy traffic and technical disturbances, which eventually led to DU Portal crashes and slow portals.

They further added that the online process was smooth, but the portal was very slow in the last two days. Another principal, who wanted not to be specified, said, the portal slowed down during fee creations, due to which various admissions were not approved on time.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Delhi University Students Association met with Dean (Admissions) Shobha Bage.

DUSU President Akshat Dhaiya said that they put up several issues including the DU portal crash, denial of the caste, and PWD certificates due to non-renewal.

There is a lot of stress among students due to DU portal crashes. DUSU Joint Secretary Shivangi Kharwal said they demanded that this problem be resolved as soon as possible.
