DU organizes a session on Meditation and mental health on Friday. The chief guest was Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He said fetching a degree and obtaining a job should not be the aim of life. One should examine life from a broad viewpoint. Public moves towards suicide when they do not have a big view on life, he said.
At the event, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar spoke as a special visitor. He said that when instead of doing something, “We begin feeling about becoming something, then our power reduces”.

He said that every 40 seconds one person is executing suicide. Last year 400 doctors executed suicide in the US.

This is because we have not paid awareness to mental health for several years. The youth of India is not only the fate of India but also the destiny of the world. In America, 34 percent of the scientists in an organization like NASA are Indians. Hence, DU organizes a session on meditation and mental health.
DU CAN LAUNCH 18 NEW COURSES THIS SESSION
Haryana Chief Minister and DU alumnus Manohar Lal Khattar said, “There is no anxiety when we think that something has to be done. Rather anxiety occurs when we start assuming about what to become.”
From the year 1972 to 1980 I resided in Delhi and from here only. My life got the path of serving the country. After becoming an RSS pracharak in the year 1980, I was never feared.
Khattar was also rewarded with his degree by the vice-chancellor. Khattar, who was a student of SOL, said he graduated from the university in the year 1972.
