Why was the decision of the 2nd DU Open book exams taken?

As per the senior officials, this decision was taken considering the request of DU students. Thus, some Delhi University students approached the examination department and requested one more chance. The DU dean of exams, D S Rawat said that they received requests from around six to seven DU students who were unable to appear for exams before.

Hence, some students were unable to appear for the exams as they were infected with covid-19. However, others, especially from Rajasthan were unable to appear due to an internet shutdown in the state.
