Delhi University is all set to conduct the 2nd round of open book exams in January 2022. Hence, these exams are specifically for the students who were unable to appear in any of the previous open book exams held in December. Many students were held back due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic as the infection rate is constantly increasing.

Why was the decision of the 2nd DU Open book exams taken?

As per the senior officials, this decision was taken considering the request of DU students. Thus, some Delhi University students approached the examination department and requested one more chance. The DU dean of exams, D S Rawat said that they received requests from around six to seven DU students who were unable to appear for exams before.

Hence, some students were unable to appear for the exams as they were infected with covid-19. However, others, especially from Rajasthan were unable to appear due to an internet shutdown in the state.

How will the DU January Open Book Exams undergo?

The 2nd round of Open Book Exams will be held in January. But, the datesheet has not been prepared yet. Also, at first, it was decided that only those students who have approached will be allowed to take the exam. But, later it was agreed that it would be unjustified if other students who weren’t able to request are not given a chance. Hence, even students who weren’t able to approach will be allowed. As per D S Rawat, all DU students who have valid reasons will be allowed.
