DU conducted online OBE ( open book exams ) For final year students of different courses. Moreover, it is still encountering some technical glitches even after the declaration of the results.
As per the media reports, many students were marked absent even after giving exams. Few have even marked 0 (zero) in some exams. In addition to this, there are few whose results are postponed.
A final year DU student said that Delhi University has not been compatible with announcing the results. He is spending sleepless nights as his results have been postponed.
Moreover, not only students even the faculty members are facing trouble. They are too complaining of technical issues with the online open book exams.
A senior faculty member of Zakir Hussain College mentioned that from starting, OBE had problems related to the exam schedule, date sheet, and whether the ques paper was available on the portal or not. Secondly, there were issues of downloading and uploading the answer sheets, and whether it was reaching the right person for checking. There were some issues when the answer script was belonging to teachers, who were not teaching them.
However, They have also highlighted problems with ethical violations. In prior representatives, the university had approved ethical factors of protecting the individuality of students on the answer sheets.
Firstly, students uploaded their answer script on the portal. Though, troubles began arising when the court ruled the students to collect answer sheets through email and not to send it to the nodal officer.
Thus, Delhi University got more than 5 lakh emails from candidates, all things considered. Later on, the email alternative is anyway expected to be ceased.
