Delhi University released the results of DU OBE last week. But, it put the students in a fix. Students who are looking forward to pursue their post-graduation are lying under this situation.
Delhi University conducted DU OBE in online mode for the students due to COVID 19. Even if students attempted the exams and submitted their answer sheets, students are marked absent in various subjects and this is leading students to a state of panic.
Dinesh, a final year student from Rajdhani College said that despite the lockdown and poor network connections, he attempted the exams and submitted the answer sheets online. He even received a confirmation message of submitting the answer sheets online. He appeared for four exams and he is marked absent in one of the four subjects.
He further said that when he called the nodal officer to file a complaint for the same, he also seemed to be confused and asked for his documents to get the revised mark sheet in 10-15 days.
Dinesh said that many universities and educational institutions have started granting admission in post-graduation courses. Delhi University is going to begin the admission for M.Sc. this week. So, Delhi University should provide him the mark sheet as soon as possible.
Anand Prakash is a Chemistry teacher at Rajdhani College. He said that this mishap in the mark sheets is creating a situation of panic among the students. This problem is working as an obstacle for them to take admission into post-graduation courses.
This case happened with another student Satendra of Delhi University.
The varsity’s officiating dean of examinations, DS Rawat said that they have issued an updated notification 10 days before the release of undergraduate results. The notification stated that students need not to worry about such discrepancies. These kinds of situations were obvious to occur this year as Delhi University conducted exams in online mode for the first time. Moreover, students submitted multiple answer sheets and different PDFs.
So, students who will face similar problems have to file a complaint against it. They will get their updated mark sheets within 10-15 days.
