Delhi University has scheduled to conduct the online open-book exams (OBE) for final year UG and PG students from August 10. However, students like Rasuhan Kumar and many others are facing various issues such as internet connectivity, study materials, etc.

Rasuhan Kumar, a final-year student of Delhi University’s Satyawati College on the phone from his home in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur says that there is no electricity and situation is not good their due to floods.

Kumar said that he was not even able to charge his phone for two-and-a-half days because of no electricity. Indeed, even those with internet facilities state they will confront issues in taking the online exams. He claimed many final year students were also not able to take classes online.

They additionally claimed that their last semester was loaded with issues like the upper east Delhi common brutality, the Delhi College Instructors’ Affiliation (DUTA) strike, and the coronavirus-actuated lockdown.

He said that they have to apply for masters in other universities and if they wait for the offline exams and not gave online exams they will waste a year. Another student expressed that in March he had gone home for the mid-semester break when the lockdown was announced, and he did not have any study material with him.
