Delhi University has once again opened the window for filling the DU OBE examination form as over 39,000 students from the School of Open Learning and some regular students of Delhi University missed out the December 5th deadline. The University of Delhi is going to commence the DU OBE exams from 12th December I.e. Saturday despite receiving objections from DU students.
Over 1,41,298 students from DU SOL are to appear for the off semester open book exams from Saturday. However, during an inspection, the University of Delhi found out that over 39,000 SOL students have missed out the deadline to fill in the examination form. The University officials further claimed that the students have been sent reminders on repeat to follow the procedure.
Poor Possibility of Cancellation or Postponement of DU OBE
D.S. Rawat, Dean of Examination, Delhi University said that the University has extended the last date for filling the DU OBE examination form and the exams will be held as per the released examination schedule. He added that students have already been sent information and reminders a multiple number of times.
Dean added that several students have mailed the University stating the reason for the delay in filling up of examination form. Students in their mails stated that they failed to check their emails earlier or missed out on the last date. Even some regular students of Delhi University have missed the last date for filling up the form. However, the University cannot be in a state where students can miss out on their exams.
Madhu Pruthi, Principal of Keshav Mahavidyalaya said that one of their students missed out the date due to medical issues. She added that the college has personally contacted the student and informed them about the extension of the date.
