The admission process for the academic session 2020-21 at Delhi University has ended. This year, some colleges surprised everyone by releasing a hundred percent cut-off for commerce and arts courses. This is not the first time that the cut off has scored a century.

Earlier also, 100% cut off was released twice. Experts say that the cut-off list released for admission has seen astonishing changes in the last few years.

Especially in the last decade, the picture of DU’s cut-off list has changed completely. The cut-off, which was once around 85 percent, has now come to the figure of 95 to 100 percent.

Previously, where the cut off of science courses used to go higher, now the courses of commerce and arts stream have surpassed science in terms of increase in cut off. In the last four-five years, the cut-off of the BA program, political science, history, and psychology subjects is going up to 99 percent.

The explanation for this is the recent career options indicated in these courses. If you look at the figures, the cut-off level has increased by about 10 percent since 2010.

In the case of Ranchi cut-off, science courses have been replaced by commerce. At the same time, after two-three years, the art courses also quietly joined the race of cut-off list.
