University of Delhi (DU) undergraduate and postgraduate students will not have to pay to get the course material. DU’s Academic Council (AC) meeting has stamped on the fee waiver proposal. Earlier, the Law Department had decided to charge a fee of one thousand rupees from law graduate students and 1250 rupees from undergraduate students in place of giving course material to the students.

It has also been rejected in AC after a stay on behalf of this executive vice-chancellor. Its course material will be given free of cost to the students.

There is also a proposal to increase the ward quota

In the AC meeting held in DU on Friday, it was also decided to increase the ward quota. After this, the number of seats for ward quota for admission of teachers, staff children in DU college has been increased from 3 to eight per college.

After the change in ward quota for 24 years, it has been decided to include children in the ad hoc teachers’ inward quota.

Two new departments, many courses will be started: In the AC meeting, it has been decided to start several courses including two new departments. According to a member of AC, the course of admission in Master in Public Health, the admission process has also been approved.

At the same time, the GB Pant Institute of PG Medical Education and Research of the Faculty of Medical Science has stamped the proposal regarding the newly started Neuro Anesthesia syllabus, admission process, training program.

Along with this, it has also been decided to introduce a two-year Diploma Course in Harmonium in the Faculty of Music and Fine Art, a one-year Certificate Course for Foreign aspirants in Hindustani Music, 2 year Music Shiromani Diploma.
