DU is likely to conduct trials for ECA Quota on July 31

On July 31, Delhi University’s extracurricular activities (ECA) quota admission trials are expected to get started. Further, trials for ECA quota will be held for all activities in addition to admissions through the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS).

To perform the trials for the 12 activities, which have been divided into multiple subcategories. Moreover, several colleges have been appointed as the nodal centers.

The outstation candidates will be required to make arrangements for lodging and travel according to the date and slot schedule for trials, which will be announced following the release of the announcement for ECA admissions. In comparison with 1,220 seats last year, DU has 1,348 ECA seats this year.

For the trials, all candidates will have to purchase their equipment, sharing is not permitted. Furher, an assessment committee will be established for each category for evaluating the candidates, and their decisions will be final.

According to Deepti Taneja, convener of ECA admission, “Any candidate who misbehaves with a university official, expert, or judge during the procedure will face disciplinary action. It would not be permitted for candidates or accompanists to record or film the trials.”
