Delhi University aiming to foster its research culture. DU has asked its faculty members to apply on its website for research grants up to Rs. 6 lakh for a single project for which applications are invited till July 20. The grants will be allocated to faculty members along three categories.

In category I, a single faculty member can apply for a subject-specific research proposal and avail grant upto Rs four lakh, a release said.

Category 2 will cover those researches which are proposed to be undertaken jointly by two faculty members of a same department. The two members can apply for an amount of up to Rs five lakh.

In the category III, two to three faculty members from different departments can apply for an interdisciplinary research proposal to avail a grant upto Rs six lakh.

“Innovation projects of college teachers will have similar categories that include undergraduate students and a mentor, preferably from a university department,” the release said.

“The University is ensuring that the entire process of application, screening, obtaining progress report and subsequently final report submission is online,” it said in the statement.
