The University of Delhi has urged its colleges to conduct written examinations to shortlist candidates for the posts of librarian. And also same process for physical education director. This resolution to change the process of hiring was passed in December 2022.
As per the DU notification to the principals of all colleges, it asked them to do the hiring process according to the modified rules. The university said, “The principals/ directors of the colleges are requested to do the recruitment process for posts of librarian and director of physical education.”
Further, it added, “All the colleges are requested to conduct the written examinations to shortlist the candidates.” Besides, the Executive Council (EC) resolution passed last year stated that to ensure recruitment.
Firstly, there is a need to shortlist candidates through the MCQ-based test. This way, the number of candidates who will be interviewed will be reduced.”
