The University of Delhi (DU) received approximately 60,000 applications for the available 75,000 seats in the first cut-off admissions. Therefore, till Wednesday, 14th October, these 60,000 applications were received for the undergraduate courses offered by the DU colleges. According to the varsity’s estimated data, around 59,730 applications have been received out of which 22,186 applications were approved, and 11,248 students secured seats by making the payment. Hence, the varsity approved around 37.14 percent of the applications by 5 p.m., Wednesday.

The first cutoff admissions took place between 12th October and 14th of October. Hence, the aspiring candidates had a period of 3 days to complete the admission procedure. However, a phenomenally huge number of applications were made only within the 3 days of the first cutoff admission.

The first cutoff admissions are now closed. Hence, 14th October was the last date to apply for admission under the list. However, fee payment can be made up until October 16. Hence, all those candidates who have applied to certain colleges and got their documents verified, have 2 more days for the fee payment.

HOW TO PAY FEES FOR DU ADMISSION 2020?

DU is winding up the first cut-off admissions as the second cut-off will be released on 19th October. The university needs a gap between the two lists to figure out the new criteria and eligibility. The academic session 2020-21 for the freshers will be commenced from 18th October 2020. A virtual mode of education will be adopted until the state comes up with directions to reopen.

Applications made in SRCC:

Shri Ram College of Commerce(SRCC) had a phenomenally high first cut-off of 99.50 percent for BCom (Honours) and 99 percent for BA (Honours) Economics. However, the admission are yet high in number. Simrit Kaur, principal of SRCC said that an estimated figure of 125 admissions under the BA (Honours) Economics and 121 under BCom (Honours) were made.

Applications made in LSR:

Cut-off as high as 100 percent was kept at Lady Shri Ram College for Women(LSR). Suman Sharma, the principal says that the estimated figures of applications will only be made available by Thursday, i.e. 16th of October. However, she added, that quite a lot of applications have been made and the college is still working on the verifications.
