DU special cut-off list

Delhi University finally opened the portal today for DU admission 2021. Students who are eligible to apply in DU first cut-off list can apply in the respective colleges. Around 30, 000 students have already applied for admission on the first day of the admission session. 795 students even completed their fee process and Delhi University has approved the admission process of 2286 applicants.

In 2020, 19000 students applied for DU admission on the first day. This year, the number has crossed 30,000. Delhi University released a 100 percent cut-off list for some courses. But this high cut-off list didn’t stop students from applying to the colleges.

DU FIRST CUT-OFF LIST WITH 100 PERCENT

Miranda House and Hindu College released a 100 percent cut-off list for some courses. Such colleges received many applications from the students for the courses with a 100 percent cut-off. On the other hand, SGTB Khalsa College also released a 100 percent cut-off for B. Com but didn’t receive a single application.

HOW MANY APPLICATIONS LSR RECEIVED IN DU FIRST CUT-OFF LIST

Suman Sharma is the principal of Lady Shri Ram College. She stated that the college has received around 750 applications. Last year, only Lady Shri Ram College released a 100 percent cut-off list for three courses, i.e., BA Honors Political Science, Psychology, and Economics. This year, the DU first cut-off list for these courses is 99.75 percent.

APPLICATIONS OF DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAYA AND ARYABHATTA COLLEGE

On the other hand, Aryabhatta College received 250 applications. 60 were for B. Com out of which 50 are approved. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College received 800 applications and approved 300 till now. If seats in the well-known colleges will be occupied, students must not expect a decent decrease in the second cut-off list. Because of the high cut-off list, 90 percent scorers and below are now finding some other alternative for admission.

HANSRAJ COLLEGE RECEIVED ADMISSIONS IN 100 PERCENT IN DU FIRST CUT-OFF LIST

On the other hand, Hansraj College released 100 percent DU first cut-off list for B.Sc. Honors Computer Science. The college received 11 applications from the reserved category and 12 applications were of the students who secured 100 percent from OBC.
