ONLINE LECTURES ARE PROVIDED TO THE STUDENTS

The coronavirus pandemic has led to the termination and cancellation of many tasks. Because of lockdown, all the educational institutions are temporarily closed. But that doesn’t mean that the academic session would also cease. Talking about schools, teachers are providing them live sessions and helping students by teaching them online. Online classes are conducted by the teachers so that students would not face any kind of difficulty in their studies. The academic session is proceeding as usual for the school. But what about University? At least the academic session has begun in school, but in the case of a university, their exams of previous academic sessions are pending.
As it is not safe to conduct classroom examinations and it is important to proceed towards the next academic session, some universities have decided to promote their students on the basis of the previous semester result and internal assessment. Delhi University is one of them.

IDEA OF 50-50 FORMULA

Delhi University is coming up with an idea of promoting first and second-year students on the basis of 50-50 formula. This 50-50 formula includes 50 percent marks of the previous semester result and rests 50 percent marks of internal assessment of the prevailing semester. This simply means that Delhi University is deciding to promote first and second-year students without taking any exam of the present semester. Their present semester result would include 50 percent of the previous result and the rest 50 percent includes marks of internal assessment. It is said by an official that students would not have to give exams of the current semester.
