New Delhi: The final year exams of Delhi University have been postponed till August. The final year exams were supposed to begin from July 10. Today, the University has told the High Court that the exams are further postponed till August.

This information was given to the Delhi High court orally by the University.

This decision of the University has come a day after the guidelines issued by UGC. The guideline states that the Universities can opt for taking final semester exams through the online mode or the regular mode. Universities can also go for a blended format.

Initially, the final semester exams were scheduled from July 1, but they were postponed by 10 days. The exams were rescheduled from July 10.

The University had conducted mock examinations for the students which were a complete failure. The students faced several difficulties. The mock examination was conducted by the Delhi University to make the students familiar with the online Open Book Examinations format.

Technical glitches in downloading question papers and uploading the answers were reported by the students.
