Delhi University in a notification dated 8th July 2020 announced the postponement of the upcoming DU exams till August 15. The Obey exams for final year students have been postponed for the second time in a while. The exams scheduled to began from 10th July have been deferred to a future date in the second half of the month of August.

DU exams for final year students were supposed to commence from 3rd July which was then deferred to 10th July. The University of Delhi in a notification stated that the DU exams (OBE) for all streams of final year/semester/term of undergraduate and postgraduate students including SOL and NCWEB scheduled to be held from 10th July, stands postponed.

The notification of postponement of DU exams further stated that the new notification for the conduct of final year exams will be uploaded on the website. The University will issue the revised date sheet along with all the necessary information on the official website of Delhi University.

The Delhi University in the notification further stated that the DU exams (open book exams) will commence after August 15. The students of the final year are advised to regularly check the official website for all the relevant information regarding DU exams.

DELHI HC TELLS UGC, UNIVERSITIES TO MANAGE MENTAL DISTRESS AND DESOLATION FACED BY STUDENTS DUE TO COVID-19 AS THE MAIN PRIORITY

A petition was filed by two law students of Delhi University in the Delhi High Court against the University’s decision to conduct online exams. The petitioners highlighted the common problems that will arise due to the conduct of online exams.

The petition also bright forward the issues faced by DU students during the mock test being conducted by the University before the DU exams. The mock tests conducted by the Delhi University turned out to be a big zero leading to a number of problems for DU final year students.

The Delhi High Court on Monday asked DU to present an affidavit by Tuesday evening stating the agendas and guidelines for the conduct of OBE exams. The HC further asked University to inform whether the University will give another chance to the students failing to appear for OBE exams.
