On Thursday, the Delhi High Court directed the Delhi University to place the data of final year mock tests before it. The final year mock tests of Delhi University are supposed to conclude on July 27. A bench of Justices Subramonium Prasad and Hima Kohli have asked a senior official of the University to be also present during the video conferencing, to aid.

The Bench said that on the next date, they would like to know how the mock tests of Delhi University went. They have asked for the entire data of the mock tests and how many students participated in it.

Representing the University, senior advocate Sachin Dutta said that he will keep the entire data ready regarding how many students appeared, how many question papers were downloaded, and how many answer sheets were uploaded.

The High Court has also asked the University to provide the data of the numbers of students from the disability category, who participated in the mock tests. A batch of petitions was being heard by the High Court. These petitions challenged the final year examination of Delhi University. Among these petitions, there was one by the National Federation of Blind.

The Delhi University final year exams are scheduled from August 10 to 31. The Supreme Court, as noted by the High Court, is also seized of various petitions which challenge the guidelines of UGC for conducting final year exams in the central universities.
