The Delhi University (DU), in a recent development, has told the Delhi High Court that the CSCs (Common Service Centers) are only for the main exam purposes and not the mock tests. The response of DU surprised the single judge bench Justice Pratibha M Singh.

Professor Vinay Gupta, Dean (Examinations), representing the Delhi University, said that the centers are not for mock tests. In a series of questions, the court asked someone who wants to appear in the OBE, appear for the mock test. The University was also directed by the court to place an MoU between the University with the CSC.

Various questions related to the OBE of Delhi University was also asked by the court. Mr. Gupta also told the court that the students will automatically receive the question papers on the registered email ids. The question papers will be sent by the colleges. If the students face any problem, they can contact the college.

Joint Director of the university’s Computer Center Sanjeev Singh, said that Delhi University has all the end-to-end facilities and the use of cloud services was being done.

Mr. Gupta also told the Court that a committee is yet to be constituted to take care of those students who face glitches. Dinesh Tyagi of Common Center Academy told the court that there are more than 3.6 lakh CSCs which will have the facility of scanners, computers, internet, etc.
