The University of Delhi circulated the notice to principals of all affiliated colleges. Moreover, the University Assistant Registrar instructed them to give reservations on the approved post of college teachers.
As per the circular, the University administration directs the principals to make appointments of DU college permanent teachers. Otherwise, it is against the university rules. Regarding this, the teacher organization writes a letter to the DU administration.
Till now there are no permanent appointments in the colleges. Therefore, the process of appointment of Adhoc teachers must continue. Further, they said that appointments should be made in the appointments of guest teachers through applying the reservation roster. This is under the Clause-2 of University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines.

Principles can’t convert DU College Permanent Teacher Posts into Guest Teachers
After the DU administration’s circular principals will not be able to convert permanent and ad-hoc approved posts into guest teachers. According to the circular, the post of OBC second tranche will also get filled. As colleges have neither made permanent appointments nor appointed Adhoc teachers for a longer period. So, due to this, the colleges were intentionally appointing guest teachers on these posts. However, now they will no longer be able to.
