What are the other DU anti-ragging guidelines?
As per the guidelines issued by the University against ragging, every institution needs to identify a DRP. Hence, all the colleges, hostels, departments, halls, etc will have a Disciplinary Resource Person (DRP) and their contact details will be shared. Also, the colleges may erect suitable hoarding/ billboards/ banners in major prominent places in their respective colleges. Hence, this will exhort all students to prevent any indulgence in ragging. Apart from DRPs, some senior teachers, students, NSS/ NCC officers can form a Disciplinary Resource Committee at college levels.
Sealed boxes are to be kept near the principal’s office, especially in colleges that have their hostels. Hence, any potential victim of ragging can submit their complaints to the authorities easily. So, as per the new norms of DU anti-ragging guidelines, officials will act upon all complaints. The vigilance squad and the DRC committee will work in coordination against any incident of indiscipline.
