After declaring the 5 cutoff lists, the University of Delhi will now be announcing two more cutoffs along with a special cutoff for admission to UG courses. Over 67,781 seats were already filled till the second day of the fifth cutoff list, as per the University. The University has a total of 70,000 seats at the UG level for various courses and colleges. Now, the University will be announcing the special cut-off and additional 6th & 7th cutoff to fill the remaining seats.

Earlier this week the University released the list of vacant seats according to which very few seats are left under the general category. Now all those students who missed the opportunity to seek admission to Delhi university will be eligible to seek admission under the special cut-off on meeting the cutoff requirement.

DELHI UNIVERSITY RELEASES LIST OF VACANT SEATS AFTER 5TH CUTOFF

The application procedure for DU special cut-off will begin from 24th November while the portal will accept applications till 25th November at 1 pm. Interested students will be required to apply for the same within the stipulated deadline. The Delhi University colleges will approve applications under the special cut-off till 26th November.

The University will begin admission against the sixth cutoff from 30th November till 5 PM 3rd December. Students seeking admission under the sixth cutoff will be required to pay the fee till 4th December. In case if seats still remain vacant in DU colleges, the University will release an additional 7th cutoff for which the admissions will begin from 7th December.

Guidelines for students applying for DU special cut-off

Following students will be eligible/not eligible to participate in the special cut-off

  • Only those candidates will be considered who did not/could not take admission in the initial five cutoffs.
  • A candidate who has canceled his/her admission in the 5th cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the special cut-off.
  • Students who are already admitted (including NCWEB) in any college/course of Delhi University will not be eligible to participate in the special cut-off.
