Students seeking admission in Delhi University can now apply for ECA quota under 14 categories. Delhi University in its recent notification announced that registration for admission to all courses (UG, PG, M.Phil./Ph.D.) through entrance shall close on 31st July 2020. However, the registration for admission through merit shall remain open till 31st August 2020.

The registration process for DU admission 2020 was supposed to end on 31st July, however, DU has once for all the merit-based courses shall remain open till August 31. However, the registrations for entrance based courses will end as scheduled I.e, on 31st July. The notification released on 25 July 2020 further reads that the University of Delhi has decided to include all the fourteen categories of last year of Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) under the admission through the ECA category in the UG Courses.

As per the notice, the applicants who wish to register under the ECA quota can do so from 1st August to 31st August. Also, the students who have already registered and now wish to apply under ECA quota can edit their forms by paying an additional fee of Rs 100. Students can register for a maximum of three ECA categories.

The notification states that admissions under the ECA quota will be performed based on the Merit/ participatory certificates of the applicants. Applicants would be required to upload a maximum of Best Five certificates of the preceding three years (1st May 2017 – 30th April 2020). Updated certificates will not be considered for marking.

DU Admissions 2020 Correction Window

The correction window for editing the application forms is likely to be announced in between the third week of August to the second week of September 2020. Delhi University has finally announced that the correction window for amending their forms for DU admissions 2020 will be opened by mid-August.

In order to make the process more student-friendly, the University will allow registered applicants to edit/correct their forms and upload their certificates. The University of Delhi has announced that applicants would be allowed to replace/update the documents – caste certificate, EWS certificate, mark-sheet, Minority certificate, Medical Certificate, supporting documents for ECA, and Sports.

According to the notification, no extra fee will be charged from the applicants for making all the above-mentioned changes in their forms. It further states that no students will be allowed to make changes in their registered email, category, and gender. Also, students will not be able to make amendments in the examination chooses earlier.
