As for DU Admissions 2022 and onwards, the varsity has agreed to conduct an entrance examination. In the meeting of the executive council on 17th December 2022, the conduction of the entrance test for UG courses was confirmed. Thus, admissions will either take place through the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or the Delhi University Common Entrance Test (DUCET).

DU Admissions 2021: The confusion between DUET and DUCET
Delhi University Entrance Test is exclusively for DU, i.e all the PG, MPhil, and Ph.D. courses and a few UG courses. But, the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national-level entrance test including several central universities.
DUET: It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in an online format and consists of several multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Also, the written entrance test is held for a duration of 2 hours and consists of 100 questions. Thus, for each question, 4 marks are awarded, and for every wrong answer, 1 negative mark is deducted. Thus, DUET incorporates reasoning, quantitative ability, analyzing ability, general awareness, and English.

CUCET: This entrance exam was proposed under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 but is yet to be launched. Thus, it will be conducted for all the UG courses in DU admissions 2022. Also, the cut-off-based admission system will be overthrown. Hence, it will feature questions from maths, science, history, civics, General Knowledge, and reasoning.
Common Entrance Test almost confirmed for DU Admissions 2022:
There is a possibility that DU will give 50 percent weightage to CUCET and the rest to class 12th Board marks. However, it is not yet confirmed if the merit-based system will be completely overthrown or partly.
