Recently, a new controversy’s sparked, after one of the DU professor’s comments on social media. Rakesh Kumar Pandey’s one of the Physics professors at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. He in his social media post has alleged that there’s some kind of marks bias by Kerala’s Education Board.
He took it to Facebook and shared the post with the hashtag Marks Jihad. The comments by the Delhi University professor have triggered a row, from the students as well as the teachers. This sparked controversy has raised a lot many questions. About the Delhi University’s admission process.

Many Political organizations alleged. It was a very discriminatory statement against students of a particular state. On Wednesday, the Students Federation of India alleged. The top scorers from Kerala were denied admissions. They told that Kerala state board students got denied. On Flimsy grounds by the University of Delhi. The statement came out after such remarks by the DU professor for the students of the southern states.
However, On Thursday DU rejected the allegations that students from any state were shown any kind of Favouritism. In the recent statement, the university has stated. The university values the academic credentials of all the students. And, there’s no kind of discrimination in the Undergraduate admission process.
DU ADMISSIONS 2021: ANALYSIS
In the press statement on Thursday, the DU registrar stated that they condemn such statements. And the university refutes any kind of false news circulated regarding discriminatory admissions. The university’s statement came just after the SFI. On Wednesday alleged discrimination in the admission process.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) linked with SFI. In a statement, said that DU must “stop discriminating against” students from the Kerala state board.
