DU ADMISSIONS 2020: LIST OF QUERIES DISCUSSED IN THE LIVE WEBINAR

The next webinar directed by the University of Delhi (DU) to address students’ questions regarding admissions, the admission branch answered difficulties associated with admission under reservation categories.

The webinar directed by the University of Delhi (DU) Through Facebook and Twitter live chat. Students asked all their questions From the economically weaker section (EWS) category to sports and reserved categories.

Students who are applying under the persons with disability (PwD) category have to submit a certificate granted by any government hospital as certificates issued by private hospitals are not recognized by the university.

The certificate must be issued by any government hospital as certificates granted by private hospitals are not accepted by the university. For the students who want to assign under persons with disabilities (PwD).

Bipin Tiwary, OSD, Equal Opportunity Cell, DU Explained that Any PwD certificate allocated after 2018 wishes to pursue the RPWD layout issued on the university’s website.

Applicants who are incapable to rebuild EWS certificate or caste certificate can acknowledge the enrollment slip or acknowledgment receipt after assigning for online regeneration of the certificate. Moreover, the caste certificate must be allocated by the central government as per the castes recognized by National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC). The certificates granted by state governments would not be accepted.

Students applying for BA (Hons) in Music were expected to deliver a video via YouTube but no policies or timelines have been allocated regarding uploading the video at the time of enrollment. Shobha Bagai, professor, DU said that The university has been encountering some technical challenge because of which we have not conveyed details regarding the online video uploading. We will shortly update the process on the website.

Bagai added Keeping in view the modern online procedure, numerous students can’t self-attest the certificates. The university will not dismiss the certificates that are not self-attested by the aspirant.
