University of Delhi conducted its third live webinar. The first two live webinars were held to solve the queries related to undergraduate admissions. Today, the live webinar was conducted to clear the doubts specifically for postgraduate admissions. As said by the administration that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the admission procedure is in online mode. Students can refer to the bulletins mentioned on the website to get all the details and know the procedure to fill up the admission form.

As students that are going to take admission in Delhi University have not yet appeared for their last semester exams, they have not got their marks for undergraduate exams yet. So, they can fill-up the form without entering their marks. Once students have appeared for exams and the result is declared, the administration will again open the portal for students to update their marks. Students need to read the instructions before filling up the admission form. Admission in Post Graduation is both merit and entrance based. Those students who have passed their undergraduate from Delhi University get the benefit of choosing between the entrance and merit-based admission while those students who have completed their graduation from some other university have to appear for the entrance test. Fees are non-refundable.

STUDENTS BELONGING TO OBC CATEGORY HAVE TO ATTACH AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT SLIP

Students belonging to the OBC category have to submit the certificate issued after 30th March 2020. Those students who could not get a certificate issued yet can attach the acknowledgment slip of the same. For entrance exams, as clarified by the University, the question paper will be bilingual. Still, students can go through the guidelines related to the entrance exam. No ECA category is allowed in postgraduate admission. The correction portal would be open after registration for admission. But, students cannot correct their personal details. The date of entrance exams have been scheduled. It will be conducted by the National Test Agency.

THE MODE OF ENTRANCE EXAM IS NOT CONFIRMED YET

The administration clarified almost all the doubts of students that are going to take admission in postgraduate courses. It is advised to the students again and again by the officials to fill up the form carefully. However, the university does not advise students to fill-up the form again. The mode of entrance exams is still not confirmed yet. Some students asked about the wrong information mentioned in the documents. The officials said that as it is difficult for the administration to know what is the correct information, students are requested to attach an affidavit of the correct information. They can go to the respective school of the concerned board to get their details correct. One such question was asked by DU aspirant whether students are allowed to take admission in two courses at the same time. That is whether a student can take admission in both regular can sol for two different courses. It is not allowed in Delhi University to take up admission in more than one course at the same time. Once the student has filled up the category, it cannot be changed.

DELHI UNIVERSITY WOULD SOON RELEASE THE GUIDELINES

University would soon release its guidelines for entrance exams in post-graduation courses. It will also make a decision regarding the conduction of class that it would be online or offline. Students would be informed at least two weeks prior to entrance exams.
