Delhi University might form a record of submission of forms for DU admissions 2020 in the academic year 2020-21. As per the reports, more than three lakh application forms for undergraduate courses have been submitted for over 71 thousand seats. While more than four lakh 66 thousand registrations have been perpetrated so far. The last date to apply for admission in UG, PG, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Delhi University is 31 July. In such a way, a record of submission of the forms will be made by 31st July from the way the applications are being made.
The registration procedure at Delhi University was begun on 20th June and so far the University has received 4,66,382 registrations. Out of which over 3,01,022 students have already submitted their admission forms for DU admissions. The highest number of applications have been received from general category students counting to over 1,94,295. While the OBC category has reported over 56,835 registration mounting to second highest.
Members of the admission committee say that reason behind the increase in the number of applications is that students have been provided with ample time. The last dates for registration for DU admissions 2020 have been extended twice. It has subsequently granted sufficient time to students to make a decision and register for DU admissions 2020.

Also, students have been allowed to fill the form again in case of a mistake in the previous form. So the applicants are now filling more than one form in case of a mistake. Every year Delhi University receives a 10 percent increase in the applications every year. But this year the percentage of increase in the application is more than 10 percent. One core reason behind this is the opening of ECA admissions now.
So far, over 3,01,022 students have submitted the form along with the fees for DU admissions 2020. Out of which over 1,94,295 belong to the general category while 56,835 applications have been submitted by the OBC students. Around 35,288 applications have been submitted by the students of SC category and over 6,635 students have applied to the ST category. As yet 7,969 students have applied for admissions to EWS quota for DU admissions 2020.
Around 1.2 lakh applications for UG admissions have been received from Delhi alone. According to the data exhibited by varsity second-highest number if the application has been received from the state of Uttar Pradesh. Extensively the applications for DU admissions 2020 appeared from north Indian states including Haryana, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand.
The registration process was supposed to end on July 18 however the last date for DU admissions has been extended to 31st July. It is being inferred that the number of applications will rise by the time the process for DU admissions gets over.
