DU ADMISSION 2020

The admission process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG), MPhil and Ph.D. programs have been started at the University of Delhi. Online registration forms of Delhi University admission 2020 are now accessible on the DU admission portal 2020, i.e. www.du.ac.in. Now, interested candidates, who meet the needed eligibility criteria for admission can apply online. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the nationwide lockdown imposed to stop the spread of the virus, the DU UG and PG admissions have been delayed this year. Some changes have been made into the admission process, in order to assure social distancing. There is no offline application at all this year.

The website of the Delhi University admission portal crashed on the very first day. Delhi University has decided to take the entire admission procedure for the academic year 2020-21 online while the University’s online portal crashed on day one itself. Delhi University’s portal for UG admission has stopped working and the status shows that the site cannot be reached. While the PG admission portal is still working but errors are being incurred by the students. Students are facing problems in selecting courses while some students report that even after filling the entire form the information vanishes.

DU ADMISSION 2020 PORTAL LIVE: HOW TO APPLY? CHECK DETAILS HERE

As per the Delhi University’s information bulletin, any change in the procedures for the personal appearance of applicants for entrance examinations or trails for ECA, Sports, and Music shall be notified in due course but the University of Delhi on its website. The verification of certificates shall also be notified by the University on its website. This has been done by keeping the challenges evoked by COVID-19 in view. At this stage, students will not have to select a course or college. The schedule of cut-off lists on the basis of which admissions are conducted is absent from the bulletin.

Delhi University Undergraduate Admission 2020

Admission in Delhi University will be given to undergraduates courses on the basis of merit as well as board exam scores and entrance tests. National Testing Agency, or NTA, will be conducting the Delhi University Entrance Test 2020, or DUET 2020.

As per the statement released by the Delhi University, all applicants must register through the University of Delhi online admissions portal https://ug.du.ac.in. This portal will only be administering all the undergraduate admissions for 2020-21. There are no offline admissions for the applicants this year.

Delhi University Postgraduate Admission 2020

Merit-based admission for postgraduate programs is limited only to the students of Delhi University. For merit-based admission, 50 percent of the seats will be allocated.

DU PG admission for the remaining 50 percent seats will be given on the basis of entrance exam scores.

As per the DU’s bulletin, the University has provided a common Web Portal for the registration of applicants. There is also a common application form for admission to all the postgraduate courses at the University.

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates can apply for entrance, merit, and both merit and entrance exam.

Delhi University M.Phil, Ph.D. Admission

M Phil and Ph.D. admission for the academic year 2020-21 will be carried out online and the registration forms for the same have been released on the University’s website. Admission in the M Phil and Ph.D. courses will be given on the basis of entrance test scores. The second stage comprises of an interview. Students who clear the first stage of entrance test will be eligible to appear in the third round I.e, interview round.

DU ADMISSION: LIST OF COURSES MANDATORY TO HAVE MATHEMATICS

The University of Delhi has informed that any amendment related to the admission process or fee structure will be updated on Delhi University’s official website. The University has provided all the information and criteria related to the eligibility and the minimum marks on the admission portal.

  1. Does the form not display merit based and entrace based separately? I had to fill in for both of them but as soon as i checked for entrance based, all the criteria were related to that exam. There was no mention of merit based section anywhere. I haven’t made the payment yet because of this
