DU colleges give 15% relaxation in academic merit cutoff for UG courses to candidates selected in the ECA category. There are 5% additional seats (total seats 70 thousand) for UG admission in ECA and Sports category. All the students whose names are in the centralized list can apply to the colleges (maximum 40) where their category seats are available.
Only those courses can be selected for which the condition of their qualification is fulfilled. The colleges and courses will be allowed based on the course chosen by the students and their eligibility. The ECA Admission Committee has made it clear that the admission of the students whose names have appeared in the Centralized ECA Merit List will depend on the eligibility of the course and the number of seats vacant in the ECA category/sub-category in the college, i.e., admission will be done only by the name appearing in this list. Will not be sure.
The Committee recommends that if the seats remain vacant after this, then a second centralized ECA merit list will be issued. Only those who have registered from 10 to 12 November will be selected for these. Students who will be allotted a seat in the first list will not get a chance for admission in the second list. All admissions will be provisional till forensic verification of documents. If a fake certificate is found in the investigation, then the admission of such a student will be canceled and will be barred from admission in any college for the next three years. Also, there will be legal action.
