Wednesday i.e. today is the last date of application for admission under the first cut-off list. Students can file applications latest by midnight today by opting for a course of their choice in any college as per their merit score and cut-off list. Students can submit the fees by 16 October in the college where they wish to take admission but only after their application is approved.
Students faced speed issues on Monday as well as Tuesday on the admission portal. Many were stuck around the concept of best four and how to calculate while others were finding the additional eligibility criteria difficult to understand. Although, Varsity has provided the contact number of the nodal officer on the portal to help and assist students. Students complained that the calls were not answered on the mentioned contact number whereas others mentioned that they had to wait for long for their application to be approved.
WHAT TO DO IF DID NOT RECEIVE THE FEE PAYMENT LINK?
It is a common complaint from the students that even after their application is approved from the college, they had to wait for long to receive the fee payment link.
College authorities answered this query stating that the college administration, teachers, and staff work till 5 pm, and the approval process is done till then only and the further proceedings are carried on the next day. Students are advised not to panic in any such situation.
CAUSE OF DELAY
A DU official shared that this is the very first time when merit-based UG admission has been taken to an online mode entirely which is the main reason both authorities, students, and their kins are taking time to get used to with the new process.
In addition to that, many colleges have connectivity issues or if many people are working simultaneously on the portal, it leads to slow down on the speed. These issues will be shortly addressed and rectified.
