Lakshmibai College is one of the constituent colleges of Delhi University. The Lakshmibai College was established in 1965 and was named in honor of the famous patriot and warrior Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The college is operated by the Delhi government and is situated in the neighborhood of Ashok Vihar, Delhi. The University of Delhi in its initiative provided laptops to all FYUP students. It has also granted college e-mail IDs for all its students.
LB College of Delhi University offers various programs under the supervision of highly qualified professors and state of the art infrastructure. It offers B.Com, B.Com (H), B.A., B.A. (H), B.Sc (H), and M.A. for admissions. Admissions to the above-mentioned courses are granted based on both merit and entrance exams for respective courses.

For B.Com (Prog), B.Com (Hons), B.A. (Prog), B.A. (Hons), and B.Sc (Hons), the candidates are offered admission based on merit in class 12th board. For admission to B.A. (Hons) Business Economics, candidates are required to qualify for the DU-JAT entrance exam.
For admission to the M.A. program, students are required to qualify for the common entrance test DUET which is conducted by Delhi University.

Lakshmibai College offers several postgraduation courses along with M.Phil, Ph.D., and Diploma courses. The LB College constitutes postgraduation level programs in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities. Master of Arts in Lakshmibai College is offered in LBC with a course duration of two years. Admission to M.A. courses is given as per the guidelines led down by the University of Delhi. To get admission to M.A. courses, students must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in the relevant stream. The college offers admission to various postgraduate courses based on an entrance test conducted by the University of Delhi. Candidates are required to register themselves for the DUET entrance test on the Delhi University portal. However, students who have completed their graduation from Delhi University have an option to take merit-based admission or based on the entrance test.
