On the first day of DU admission under the second cut-off list, Delhi University received approximately 29,000 applications. According to data shared by the varsity, over 2,100 applicants paid their fees on Monday.

However, 36,130 candidates had secured their admission in the DU 1st cutoff list, confirming that a little over half of the 70,000 UG seats in the DU were filled.

Moreover, A total of 29,086 applications were received by the DU, and out of this 2,593 applications were approved by various DU colleges. As per data 2,103 applicants paid fees.

Manish Kansal, admission convener at the Hindu College mentioned that they had seats left for BA (Hons) Economics and B.com (Hons). He said they have had 51 admissions competing for 38 sanctioned seats in the UR category. However, they are expecting the seats for these courses might be filled up in the next list.

He further added that 2 students canceled their admissions to English (Hons), 4 students in Philosophy (Hons, and 3 students in Political Science (Hons).

Aryabhatta College received 433 applications. Out of 433, 263 applications were rejected and 170 were accepted.

Rajesh Dwivedi, convener, admissions, at the college, said they have rejected a high number of applications because many students had registered in the 1st cutoff list and had high marks register again despite being ineligible.

Rajdhani College received 131 admissions on Monday. According to data, 64 students canceled their admissions in Maharaja Agrasen college while 40 candidates withdraw their admissions from Ramjas College.
