DU ADMISSION 2021:
The University of Delhi is one the most prestigious universities. Delhi University (DU admission 2021) receives around 3-4 lakh registrations every year for approximately 70,000 seats in 64 participating colleges.

DU admission 2021 is one of the most awaited events for students as well as for the stakeholders involved. In previous years (pre-COVID era), Delhi University used to release its application forms in the second or third week of April. And then cut-offs used to be released after approx. two months. But situations are different and stark currently. Since 2020, due to the advent of COVID, DU has shifted to a completely online mode of admission.
Due to the prevalent COVID-19 scenario, students are in a fix. Delay in the declaration of board exam results and consequently, its shadow effect on DU admission 2021 is creating an obvious uneasiness among the student group. Although, Delhi University had released a notice dated 6 April 2021 stating that the DU admission 2021 schedule will be announced soon.
DU admission 2021 application forms (aka application window) are not available yet. But there is a high possibility that application forms will be released in June.
Students must keep a regular check on the website to stay updated about the same.
DU ADMISSION 2021: ENTRANCE EXAM OR MERIT?
The University of Delhi conducts admission via two routes. It can be either entrance-based or merit-based. The criteria solely depend on a specific course. There are certain courses like B.B.A., B.M.E, B.M.S., and others for which the University conducts entrance exams.
To offer a fair opportunity to students coming from underprivileged sections of society, DU also offers reservations as well as quotas. In some colleges, there is a special minority reservation as well in certain colleges.
There are multiple possibilities regarding the procedure of admission. It can be the same as previous years, i.e. ceratin courses through merit and certain through the entrance. There is also a possibility that DU adopts a blended merit cum entrance approach. It can also be dependent entirely on entrance exams through CUCET if board exams are canceled. There is no confirmation about CUCET yet. University is yet to announce about the same.
