Major confusion whether admission will be taken over 12th results or CUCET:

The 2nd deadly wave of the covid-19 pandemic has delayed class 12th Board exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as well as other boards have yet not decided the fate of the 12th exams. Hence, exams may or may not take place. Hence, amidst this uncertainty, DU prepares for CUCET.

The DUCC is working on developing a portal for CUCET. However, two of the five core members are still recovering from covid-19. So, after the team is back, they will restart working. It will take around 8 to 12 weeks to develop the admission portal completely. This was said by Sanjeev Singh, joint director of DUCC.

Will DU Admission 2021 require a common entrance test?

The union ministry of education had formed a committee in December for the same. So, this committee is responsible to look into the modalities of an entrance test for all central universities. Thus, this committee has already submitted a report and is waiting for the ministry of education’s response.
