After the cancellation of the Board exams 2021, the University of Delhi has now revealed its strategy and criteria for DU admission 2021. The Vice-chancellor of Delhi University, Mr, P.C. Joshi made it crystal clear while talking over several platforms and channels that the varsity will conduct the admission procedure as per merit.
Vice-Chancellor of DU, while speaking about the varsity’s roadmap for DU admission 2021, said that the University will follow the same admission criteria just like previous years.

WHAT ARE THE MERIT-BASED CRITERIA FOR DU ADMISSION 2021?
Delhi University is renowned for its sky-soaring cut-off lists often termed merit lists. The board exam results are the basis of these merit lists. Students are then allowed to keep an eye on the several cut-off lists taken out by universities and colleges. As per their respective board percentage, whichever cutoff list they fall into or are eligible for, they can take admission against that in a college of their choice.
The information about any change in the criteria under the cut-off lists (like best four, stream change, board change depreciation/ increment) has not been conveyed yet. VC Joshi said that the varsity will formulate a way that is in the best interest of the students.
Further, University also grants admission based on extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including sports, art, music, dance, and many more. Reportedly, the University will continue to give admission on this front just like previous years.
METHOD OF EVALUATION FOR BOARD EXAMS 2021
Many students expressed their concerns regarding the evaluation strategy for boards 2021. As neither the central board nor the Ministry of education has yet revealed the criteria on which they will mark students, there is an atmosphere of uncertainty. Students are worried that evaluations based on internal assessments might put them at a disadvantage while trying to get admission based on merit. Addressing this concern, VC Joshi said that the central board will formulate the best suitable pathway to get through this and also that the varsity will completely stand by the board’s criteria.
