The CBSE class 12th results are already handed over to the University of Delhi. But, some results are yet to be announced by the central board, the final results are yet to be disclosed finally. Many state boards have already declared the results for 10th and 12th boards for the session 2019-20.

Delhi University has directed all the school boards in the country to give them, the access link of their examination results (class 12th). This is instructed because the University needs these documents for online verification without asking to go to the colleges under DU for a physical inspection of certificates and documents. The new method is initiated this year, keeping the pandemic situation in mind.

DU ADMISSIONS 2020: SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES: NO PERCENTAGE DEDUCTION ON CHANGE OF STREAM, SINGLE FORM FOR ALL COLLEGES

We did this activity in May. We have dropped a request letter to several boards in the nation to provide us, their links with the university so that confirmation of documents can happen online. Two boards have shared the links with us and we are confident that others will also do so, asserted Shobha Bagai, Dean (Admissions).

Apart from CBSE, the two boards that have decided to share their link with the Delhi University are NIOS and Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

The previous year, Delhi University has made it compulsory for all the colleges affiliated to it, to do forensic checking of all documents necessary including certificates and sheets, of the students who wish to take admission in a particular course.

DU took this decision after the ‘Ankiv Baisoya controversy’. The university had in 2018 terminated the admission of Baisoya, a former president of DU Students’ Union (DUSU), after his documents were found to be falsified.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) gives the university direct entry to its class 12 results. This encourages the university to straight away check the genuineness of mark sheets of the candidates saying to have cleared out from a CBSE board school.

The admission procedure for undergraduate courses which was postponed due to the coronavirus catastrophe began on Saturday.

No sooner did the portal go live than candidates rushed to fill the registration forms. Just after four hours of the portal got on, more than 19000 students filled the application forms for the undergraduate course’ enrollment.

DU ADMISSION: SITE CRASHED ON DAY ONE OF REGISTRATIONS FOR UG/PG/M.PHIL./PH.D. COURSES

The first time, the admission process will be based online with zero sessions for Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and sports so that,  to maintain social distancing rules, necessary to be followed in the coronavirus situation.  In the ECA section, admissions will only be carried out for NCC and NSS.

The university will inaugurate two new postgraduate courses this year — Masters in Biophysics and Masters in Journalism, while there will be no fresh undergraduate subjects, asserted,  Shobha Bagai, Dean.

Also, this year,  no Open House for DU aspirants would take place, where they can explore answers to their admission related questions. Rather, there will be webinars for pupils and after there is clarity on CBSE examinations and results, there will be webinars to kick out doubts on cut-offs schemes.
