Delhi University begins its new academic year 2021 from today, 22nd November 2021. But, yet again the 1st day of the freshers begins in front of the screen, i.e. on laptops and mobile phones. Also, the orientation programs organized by many colleges were on e-platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. Hence, for another year, students are denied the happiness and zeal of being physically present on the 1st day of college.

Here is how the orientation for the freshers of DU academic year 2021 went:

Most of the colleges have planned a day-long orientation program for their students. Hence, a sneak peeks into the college courses, its facilities, an introduction about the teachers, and more were given. Also, colleges these days are giving a virtual college tour to all the students as they won’t be able to visit it within the online tenure.

R K Dwivedi, the admission convener of Aryabhatta College said that a lot of things are missing in online orientations. He added that in physical orientations, lunch facilities and college tours were organized for outstation students and parents. But, now the college professors are simply briefing them about their course and college online. Also, a little idea is given on various college societies as well.
